Day 7 of the 14 day challenge: Detox my mind. (post 1 of 2)

Okay morning everyone.  Just in case you were wondering I did skip day 7 I didnt log on yesterday.  On day 6 I had to modify my challenge.  I was suppose to have a spa day with my daughter as our option to have something fun with friends and family.  Well she canceled those plans and we ended up at a high school softball game.  It was fun!  I got to spend time with my daughter, my two nieces and about 50 other teenagers!  There was probably 3 other adults at this game other than myself, the umpires, and coaches.  Boy oh boy I tell you it was soooooooooo hard for me not to be judgmental (another part of the challenge) at a sporting event.  LMAO!  Everytime an opportunity arose my kids looked at me like, “I know you gonna say something”  Have you every seen people fight the air?  Yeah that was me throughout the whole game!  It was fun though.  My hardest part of day 6 was at the poetry venue and then the club, OMG so many times could I have blasted off on someone but judgment was out of the question.  My sister didnt help she was bringing things to my attention and then asking what I thought about it.  Yes she did it on purpose trying to break me.  LOL.  But I will tell you at the strike of midnight all muzzles were off, I couldnt wait to break down the entire day!

Okay so day 7 actually has come and gone.  I  woke up so late Saturday morning that I didnt have time to log on before I went to work.  I was 2 hours late but I got those 7 hours of sleep I was supposed to get each night.  Luckily on Saturday they dont trip off when I get to work just as long as I show up and get the job done right.  After I made it home I decided to do my daughters hair.  Whew!  This is a job.  She has naturally curly, thick, easily tangled long hair and she always wants some braided style in it.  It takes me about an hour or so just to comb through it before I can braid it.  She ended up with a braided mohawk and flat ironed bangs.  Its cute, I need to take a picture.  Luckily braiding only took me 3 hours yesterday but after I was done my carpal tunnels kicked in.  My fingers and palms were so cramped up that I didnt pick up my phone to text anyone.  So logging on BS was not even a thought in my mind.

So I never got to day 7, except for the daily 6.  They have become habit.   I am determined to complete this challenge so I am combining day 7 and day 8 together.

So here’s day 7:

Check the boxes below to keep track of your progress.

Do something for someone else that you normally wouldn’t be doing. You may be surprised at how good it makes you feel. Research shows that giving back to your community and helping others is linked to increased levels of happiness. So get giving.I am going to take my aunt to church today, something I hate doing because she lives on the other side of town and her church is on my side of town.  It makes no sense for me to drive out there and then come back here just to drive her back out there.  But I will do it.  Im going to clean her house while she’s at church, top to bottom.  So yes I will be driving out there more than the required time.

Schedule a checkup. Make sure you’re not missing out on vaccines, screenings and regular checkups that can help keep you healthy. Get your personalized disease prevention checklist here.Made a call to request and checkup via automated appointment desk. They’ll mail me the date and time.

Do the chi-gong workout.I’m going to mix this in with my morning workout for me and my mom.  I found a park near my aunt’s home, and we are going to hit that trail this morning and then do this workout.

No judgements. That would be a hard one. Would love to see the braids! I think you are rocking it with your challenge and you are so accountable!
