Putting off pounds with Poetry

…I am going to work today. The swelling is going down around my knee and no the doc didnt say I could work, he actually said stay off my leg as much as possible for at least a week, but I dont think staying off today is “possible”.  I missed work last weekend because of my trip, I missed work to deal with my situation with my Aunt and got her out of the hospital on Thursday, I missed work yesterday because I took myself to hospital, I’m not scheduled to work again until next Wed, then the following Saturday I may have to miss because my daughter got into this science camp for Agricultural Enginnering and I have parent orientation (I’m going to attempt to get my boss to let me come in before (7-8:30) and after (at 11:30) the two hour orientation.  I can still get my entire route done by four if I come in early enough) and then I’m not scheduled to go back to work until June 8th.

Luckily I only spent $200 in Trindad, my plane ticket was free from my frequent flyer miles but with my limited work days you can see I need to work at least one day to have some income for food & whatnot’s for the month.   This is my day, so I’m taking off the brace to drive to work and put on my store bought one, I’ll put the hospital one back on once I get there, I’ll be doing a lot of standing but I’ll keep the brace on, when I start delivering my route, I’ll go back into my store bought brace it doesnt stabilize like the hospital one but it does compress the area like they want, and then I’m coming back home and will be off my feet and get back on the R.I.C.E. rotation until Wednesday (with exception of the bathroom), I will work Wednesday but this is my desk job so I can rest the leg, ice it, keep it compressed and elevate it all day and then back to recommeded doc’s orders for Thu & Fri.  I’m hoping that by next Wednesday I won’t need the brace but I will see.
